So you are considering self-assembling your kitchen into a vehicle yourself?

We absolutely understand that for a lot of people building as much of the vehicle themselves as possible is a huge part of converting a van that’s personal to you, and we want to support our customers that feel that way. So that’s why we provide the option to buy your custom kitchen in a flat-packed condition with assembly instructions to walk you through every step of the assembly and installation process so that you can achieve the precise CNC cut quality finish with the satisfaction of knowing that you did it yourself.

However we also don’t want to disappoint any of our valued customer’s, so before you do commit to buying the flat packed / self-assembly option, we would just like to make sure your aware of a couple of things……

  1. Although you don’t need to be an experienced carpenter to assemble one of our kitchens, it should also be recognized that there is a certain amount of  preparation and thinking work involved to complete it. To put it bluntly, if you struggle with Ikea furniture then your going to struggle with this! we highly recommend that you first download the assembly instructions and familiarize yourself with the process to ensure that it is within your capabilities.
  2. This takes time! …….. we can never understand competitors who advertise that “you can assembly it yourself in 40 minutes”….. because we can’t even get it out the packaging and count the parts of our kitchens in 40 minutes! we have assembled hundreds of kitchens, and we can fairly say that this is going to take you the best part of a day or weekend depending on your ability. When we designed these kitchens we were aiming for build quality and robust durability, for us to make it fast assembly will invariably make it cheap and low quality and we don’t want that!
  3. Tools are not included…. Unfortunately we don’t offer the option to include any of the tools that you will need to complete the assembly of your kitchen, so please read the assembly instructions and check that you can get hold of the tools you will need to do the job!
  4. There will be some waste…… to ensure that the kit form kitchen makes it to you in perfect condition, we keep the parts in the original sheet form to protect them while in transit. The parts are held in place using small tabs that will require cutting to remove the part ready for assembly. As a result you can expect a certain amount of plywood waste from the outer sheet material when you have finished your project.
  5. Although you can do the majority of the assembly work on your own, you will need someone to help you to turn over and move the assembled kitchen into the vehicle to prevent scratching or damaging it.
